The Playground landing page
Recognizing the need for a centralized hub to connect organizations and advocates with passionate volunteers, Vegan Hacktivists conceptualized Playground. The platform aimed to leverage the diverse skill sets of volunteers to support animal advocacy efforts worldwide, thereby increasing the capacity for positive change within the vegan movement.
Playground provides a user-friendly interface where organizations and advocates can submit requests for assistance with specific projects or operational needs. Volunteers, equipped with a wide range of skills including software development, design, content creation, marketing, and more, can browse these requests and apply to contribute their expertise.

I worked alongside two additional designers to create the landing page for Playground. I split up the workload amongst the three of us and delegated tasks. Our primary goal was to create some new components that matched the brand identity of Vegan Hacktivists, so we designed a new accordion component, form styling, and a card that showcases essential information for each job listing.

Since its launch, Playground has facilitated numerous successful collaborations between organizations, advocates, and volunteers within the vegan community. The platform has enabled organizations to access much-needed support for their projects while providing volunteers with meaningful opportunities to contribute to the movement. The review process has helped maintain a high standard of quality, ensuring that projects are completed effectively and efficiently.
By connecting organizations, advocates, and volunteers, the platform has become a vital resource for supporting animal advocacy efforts worldwide. As it continues to grow and evolve, Playground will remain committed to empowering individuals to make a positive impact for animals through their skills and expertise.
