University of Florida

I have led and contributed to multiple design and web accessibility initiatives at the University of Florida. My main areas of focus have been developing the university's design system, moving our design process into Figma, and building up our resources for digital accessibility education.

My Roles & Responsibilities

Develop wireframes and define information architecture
Design high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes
Create resources and training workshops for digital accessibility
Mentor student interns and junior designers on accessibility

Mercury Design System

To support UFIT and the other departments around the university, I created a Figma UI kit to match the new website branding. This kit is now used every day to design high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes that drive the development of university web pages.

Accessibility Learning Circles

I partnered with the UFIT Training department to launch Accessibility Learning Circles. The goal of these meetings is to give participants a chance to practice learning skills such as writing alt text, using a screen reader, and checking color contrast in a relaxed, inclusive environment.
